If all goes as planned, the new business will be operational shortly thereafter.
“It will depend in part on the resources available to us as far as personnel in the area is concerned. We like to hire local when we can,” Hague said.
Hague didn’t want to divulge exactly how much money his company intends to invest in the Henry County venture, but said it would be “substantial.” Between 25 and 30 jobs are expected to be created. Anyone interested in employment should visit www.vra-ohio.com or email Hague at [email protected].
Hague said he is looking forward to doing business in Henry County.
“I’ve been impressed with the area. The welcome we’ve received has been very warm and we expect to do well there,” he said.
The Ohio-based company website states “Vandalia Range and Armory is a clean, modern, indoor shooting facility with classrooms and observation areas located inside a full service retail firearms store. We provide a fun, family friendly environment dedicated to providing a pleasurable shooting experience for everyone from novice to experienced shooters.”
The company is family owned and was established in 2006. The site for construction is where a Denny’s restaurant was formerly located.
